Mid-century Modern House III

New Canaan, CT

THE ISLAND HOUSE is an iconic Mid-Century modern designed by artist/sculptor/architect Bimel Kehm. Since the 1950's it's gone through several significant renovations including the addtion of the guest house and an extensive landscape design by Keith E. Simpson & Associates.

Our task was to redesign the entry, kitchen, diningroom, powder room, bar and replace the windows to match the original MCM aesthetic of home.

This home will be on the New Canaan Hisotical Society Modern House tour in October 2025.
